Program midas Civil Version Civil 2011 (v2.1) Posted 2011.12.19 This patch has fixed the following errors found in Civil 2011 (v2.1) Build Date : June 17 2011 (1) In PSC design as per EN19922:005, principal stress tables (ex. Principal Stress at Construction Stage, and Principal Stress at Service Loads) were plotted with principal compressive stresses. It is now changed to principal tensil stresses. (2) Two trucks were not considered for the determination of Maximum Reaction at the interior support ( as per AASHTO LRFD 3.6.1.3 - Application of Design Vehicular Live Loads ) when Lane Support -Reactions at Interior Piers was defined but Lane Support - Negative Moments at Interior Piers was not defined in AASHTO LRFD Moving Load Analysis. (3) Results of Moving Load Tracer and Static Load obtained after converting moving load to static load through Write Min/Max to file in Moving Load Tracer were not same for the reaction at interior pier when Lane Support -Reactions at Interior Piers was defined in AASHTO LRFD Moving Load Analysis. (4) Incorrect Load value of Axle Load was displayed in Moving Load Analysis when User Defined Vehicle was defined for Load Model 2,4/Fatigue Load Model 2,4 in Eurocode Moving Load Analysis. (5) When PSC design was performed for Eurocode 2-2:05, the PSC design results for Check Flexure Strength ( Bending Resistance )obtained from PSC design result tables dont match with the Bending Resistance obtained in the excel reported generated by PSC Design Calculations. (6) [IMPROVEMENT]: The Hogging Bending Resistance of the section in the negative moment region is now reported as a negative value. (7) Only forward direction was considered for the Indian moving load analysis. Both directions can be considered in this patch. (8) In General Section Designer or GSD, the yield strength of steel material DB was displayed as zero. (9) After performing PSC Design, the most unfavorable stage was incorrectly displayed in Check stress for cross section at a construction stage table. However there was no problem in the displayed stress values. (10) Wrong values of the shrinkage strain were calculated for the Time Dependent Material Property for Creep and Shrinkage for the AASHTO code when the value of V/S is more than 88.231 as per the equation 5.4.2.3.3.2 of the AASHTO LRFD Code. (11) Wrong value of UDL was displayed for Footway load as per IRC:6-2000 for the Moving Load Code : India when the Footway load definition is reinvoked. (12) The contibution of flange shear reistance was ingored for the determination of eta3 ( Shear Resistance Check ) and wrong parameter a ( distance between the transverse stiffeners ) was used for the Composite Plate Girder Design as per EN 1994-2-2005. (13) Wrong stage was shown in the PSC design results while checking the stress for cross section at a construction stage as per Eurocode2-2:05. (14) Influence line results were incorrect when some part of the influence line did not cross the cross beam group in the curved bridge. Now the tolerance is adjusted to check the intersection of them. (15) [Improvement]: Adjustment factors were not displayed in the visualization of vehicle loads in the Moving Load Tracer as per Eurocode whereas they were considered in the results. Now it is considered in the visualization too. (16) The program was not able to open the model file including pushover analysis results. (17) When the user closed and re-executed the program within 5 minutes using network license, the following error message was displayed. “[Error] You have reached the maximum number of licenses.” Please install the patch files in the client PC. (18) The reference point of eccentricity (Centroid or Offset) was incorrectly displayed in the table when applying the Line Beam Load function. (19) In the following functions, the results in the Legend were incorrectly displayed. There was no problem in the related table results. - Results > Stresses > Plane-Stress/Plate Stresses - Results > Stresses > Plane Strain Stresses - Results > Stresses > Axisymmetric Stresses - Results > Stresses > Solid Stresses - Results > Time History Results > Displ/Vel/Accel - Results > Time History Results > Force(Beam/Truss/General Link) - Results > Time History Results > Force Diagram(Beam/Truss/General Link) - Results > Time History Results > Stress(Beam/Truss) (20) In the Cable Efficiency result table, result columns related to cable efficiency were shifted upwards by 2 rows. (21) In the Moving Load Tracer function, uniformly distributed load due to MV: min representing footway load was incorrectly displayed although the calculated results are correct. (22) Wrong version ( Civil 2011(v1.1)) was displayed ( Help > About Midas Civil ). (23) The analysis stopped when European or CEB-FIP was selected as the code for the time dependent material property for the variation of compressive strength with time.
